Go. Baptize. Teach.

There is a lot to say about each one of these words.  Truthfully that is the first mission of the church as given by Jesus in the great commission:

Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV) -The Great Commission
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Sadly, this great commission has become the great omission of the 21st century church.  At Reach (v.) we are putting the action back into Christianity and getting participants ready to go out and reach others for Christ!

We meet every Wednesday @ 6:00PM. We play loud music, go over the lesson, and sometimes we play games, and then eat some pizza!  Hope to see you there!

At the Compassion Tour, Reach Youth Ministry adopted a young boy from Haiti. His name is Jean Widson Paul. He is seven years old. Jean lives with his grandfather and his mother. He is responsible for carrying water and helping in the kitchen. His grandfather is not employed and his mother maintains the home. There are 2 children in the family.

Singing, playing with marbles and hide-and-seek are Jean's favorite activities. In preschool his performance is average and he also regularly attends church activities.

Please remember Jean in your prayers. Your love and support will help him to receive the assistance he needs to grow and develop. If you would like to write to and encourage Jean his address is:

A Note From Miss Tina

First of all, I am so excited to be a part of God's work here at Landmark Church! I am humbled and honored to be a part of such a wonderful Church. Thank you for the privilege to share in your teen's lives. I love each and every teen in a way that I am unable to express, but know that I have a very full heart.
Secondly, here are some things about me: I was born in Pungo, Virginia (now named Princess Anne, Virginia).
I attended Fulton High School. I then attended Immanuel Bible College majoring in Pedagogy (the art of teaching) unfortunately I was only able to attend for 3 years as the college moved from Atlanta to Newnan, GA.
I have always enjoyed teaching. Whether it was at my home to children "Bible study on the lawn"€, or in the Church.
All of my children are grown, but Jeffrey and Jeanette are still living at home. Andy, my youngest, is now a marine and is currently stationed in Yuma, AZ. Together, as a family, we have raised and loved other children. There are too many to list here, but I still love each and every one of them with all of my heart.
I enjoy doing almost anything outdoors, including (but not limited to): hiking, swimming, softball, and bonfires. I also enjoy music, watching my teens play basketball or soccer, and just plain hanging out during my downtime.
My focus for ministry is always on bringing people to Christ and strengthening them in their faith; which means first establishing the students in their faith and then training them for ministry to the world and leadership in the church.
Simultaneously, we are teaching them how to share their faith with those to whom they come into contact with everyday and teaching them to express the hope they have found in Jesus. I also want to dig deep into the Word and seek truth, applying it to the student'€™s lives in a way that changes and shapes them.
My final purpose in everything is:

To be a youth pastor for His glory, so that we may present everyone complete in Christ.

To teach purity and Godliness is our goal.

To live in power and holiness is my heart'€™s desire.

I love my teens! If I do not get to you first, please do not hesitate to email me, give me a call, or a hug.

UPCOMING EVENTS

REACH YOUTH MINISTRY

Reach Youth Ministry is a youth group with a great heart and incredible dreams. Unfortunately, some of those dreams require money and a lot of our teens come from families that just don't have the funds to give toward missions trips, conferences, outreach, and events. So, we have tried to limit our dreams.

We would like to replace these limitations with endless possibilities, but we need your help.

It says in the Bible that the Kingdom belongs to the children and so we would like to put our best efforts in creating opportunities for these teenagers. Will you please help us?

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider our request. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. If you would like to donate to Reach or if you have any questions, please contact us at 770.449.5956 or office@landmarkchurch.org

All of our upcoming events can be found on our Calendar.

Youth Sunday

October 29, 2017 from 10:30am-12:00pm

On this day (Youth Sunday) we are blessed with the gifts of our children and young people. They lead the entire service on this day because God has called us all to proclaim the gospel.

Mark 9:37 "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."
